I have never been made so uncomfortable before.

Front desk clerk was very kind, but my nurse (Older with glasses) right away gave me a really bad vibe. So I made sure to ask about her day and be very nice.
She refused to test my urine and I asked how come, she explained she can’t release that information witch is fine, I was told to wait for 20 mins in the lobby drinking water.

Another man went in, had his pee tested and then cracked a joke saying she really didn’t like the smell of ur pee when he was leaving.
Witch made me uncomfortable and I asked the front desk clerk, why would she comment on my urine to another customer and the front desk clerk said well she shouldn’t have but feel free to ask her when she comes around.

So the next time my nurse came around I asked very kindly how come that guy was cracking jokes about the smell of my urine is there any reason my first sample wasn’t good enough and she took personal offence to it and got pretty angry and stern and wouldn’t even let me finish my sentence.

The experience made me very uncomfortable and I apologize to the front desk clerk explaining I was not trying to rub anyone wrong and so I had to leave.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, was nervous about my pre employment and have a bit of white coat syndrome that caused my BP to spike, but the nurse took it into consideration and helped me through my pre employment, I passed 😁! Would recommend Shift over other testing facilities in red deer, thanks guys

Went for testing, everything seemed fine then the tech and i left the testing room. She asked me to have a seat, returned to the room and closed the door. After a few minutes she came back out and said she needed to make a phone call. About ten minutes later she returned and said my test wasn't viable, refused to tell me why and proceeded to tell me to retest. This has never happened in all of my pre-employment tests and im curious as to what happened with my test behind closed doors that suddenly made it no longer viable?
I will be following up with other testing companies to see if this is proper procedure as well as seeking legal advice from a professional in this field. I have reason to believe that the tech either willfully tamperd or possibly accidentally contaminated the sample and chain of custody was broken as the sample wasn't sealed in front of me.

Update, i have contacted the management and they agreed that closing the door on a donor sample isn't proper procedure and they said they would look into it. They may have faith in their collectors but this speaks volumes about the integrity and competency of this place. People only do things behind closed doors when they are being shady.
