Very rude an not helpful the last few times I've been trying not to mention that the new staff they've got working there are stuck up an so rude. Not happy with the lack of communication and interpersonal judgement from the people who are working at the bottle depot if you are not happy with working with customers all day long maybe you are working in the wrong field find a different jobs.

I didn't have to wait too long to drop off my bottles and I liked the fact that they just hand you a ticket and you go get your money from the machine. What baffled me is the machine asking me for a tip...a tip for what? I sorted the bottles, drove them here, loaded them all into the cart, rolled it up and now I'm supposed to tip? Insanity.

I bring the kids. A bit smelly. Socially disadvantaged stroll by and hang around nearby the area but never bother anyone...noisy carts, but fast friendly service. They have a sink to wash hands which is great.

wow. so I really hope i'm not the only one who posts about this. what i saw happen yesterday afternoon whilst i was at the depot returning some empties, was pretty alarming.
i realize in advance how very busy Queens location is, and there happens to be an extra population of folks because the mustard seed is right there too. literally next door...just down the street.
okay.
actually.
whoopteedoo.
i don't care how busy you are.
also?
the population of folks, wherever they happen to be; is simply a population of fellow Victorians.
that is all.
nooooo 'profiling' needs to happen!
people are not to be 'profiled' at your business the way i watched your employee 'profile' a fellow Victorian, who was at your business to do the exact same thing i was there doing.
returning empties for money.
i saw him get out of the vehicle that dropped him off. he went to go get a cart. as he was emptying out his bags and organizing
the empties, your employee approached him really aggressively and started yelling at him to leave!
she said and i quote "hey you! you have to get out! you can't be here!'
to which the fellow was bewildered and expressed himself so.
he tried to walk away from her and she stopped him and yelled at him some more. apparently he had stolen a cart earlier that day or this week, and he wasn't allowed on the property anymore.
at that point he lost temper and started swearing and yelling back at her.
okay.
you know what?
i would have also.
she obviously mistook him for whom ever it t'were that stole this cart. does it make sense however that the fellow who stole the cart would show back up the same day to return empties!!!!
like i didn't even really know the situation yet, i was still at m'own cart sorting m'own empties and just watching in awe at the exchange between them.
whatever!
i really didn't need to know anymore to come up with that conclusion. i mean come on, use your logic!
the fellow packed back up and whilst he was waiting for his ride he vented to a few of us.
he broke my heart seriously what is wrong with you?
he said and again i quote..."i don't understand. i just got off work. i don't have any money. i don't get paid until next friday. we don't have any food. i haven't been here for almost two months. and why the !@#$% would i steal a cart? what the !@#$% would i do with it?!!"
then he turned to his phone and we heard him say
"can you come back and get me. she kicked me out because i apparently stole a cart......i don't know!....but please i can still make it to the esquimalt location. we really need the money right now".
he looked very tired and just plain bent.
you know what?
me too.
i'm still bothered by the look on his face and how aggressive your employee was with him.
you should find out who he is and at the least apologize to him!
maybe because he was in a hoodie, shorts, workboots? he resembled the fellow who stole the cart? but even though i wasn't there for that part i know it in m'heart your employee made an awful profiling error and really hurt this person. denied him business and sent him away exile style for no legitimate reason. she has quite a loud voice and awesome temper herself. i would have responded the same as this fellow though.
really she was too much.
you are simply a recycling centre.
not fort knox.
and she.... your employee, is exactly that.
an employee.
not queen sheeba on her thrown, on some weirdo rampage!

only one star but really none. your one female employee severely and irrationally labelled a guy yesterday. he got out of his car. went to the carts. was just starting to sort stuff and she literally attacked him man! like wa!!!! she came at him pointing her finger and saying something about him stealing a cart and not being allowed on the property....
seriously
he was so bewildered. he wasn't given an opportunity to even defend himself or reason with her. she just kept coming at him and yelling at him. she even stood in his way and wouldn't let him pass when he tried to get away from her and just do what he came to your location to do.
we're all there for the same reason. to return our empties for money. or to drop off our devices and appliances for recycling.
ya. well. sheeze.
so i heard him say to the couple in front of us he just got off work. he didn't get paid till next friday. they needed groceries. his wife is sick?....man!!!!!
i couldn't hear anything else because he walked away to talk on his phone. likely to call back the one to drop him off. he sat on the curb and waited. he looked so broken. and me?...i'm still blasted by this. i mean wth? seriously what the hell!!!
she was like some school dean or bar bouncer. the worst part is she wouldn't let him speak at all and then became even more irate because he became angry and started yelling and swearing back at her. well you know what?...i would have to!!!!
she obvious made a major mistake. he was refused service and like literally exiled because he resembled the profile of who ever stole your cart.
none of us who were there will ever be using your location again.
that was just so very very very wrong.

Quick service and super friendly staff. They are accommodating and this location is run very well!
Clean parking area and follow covid protocols.
I appreciate the hours of operation for those who need the evening to return their Bottles. You wouldn’t expect such a nice facility downtown but they make sure it’s a welcoming environment.

It's a good thing to not go first thing or last hour, since the gate closes at 430,if you're not in there sorting already. This is regarding the walk-in princess st side. The staff are very patient and helpful, even though there's alot on their plate. I've been going for over 6 years and not had any major issues with management or employees. There's usually enough flats or else someone working on it to get more asap, and someone comes right away to ring you up. As for cleanliness, its clean when the place opens up so any mess during the day is on the lazy ones who leave their garbage and bags all over when there are a few huge barrels for trash which are emptied throughout the day. I am revising my review to note that there has been speedy, accurate service at the till. There's no long lines anymore, the counts are accurate, flats are always available and I just want to give a gold star to alk the staff at the queens/princess location. Thanks for the effort you guys do and most of us regulars have noticed and appreciated the results.

Worst customer service ever. A guy named Wayne has a complex where he thinks he's worth more than he is in life so he treats others and puts them down. It's ludicrous the management allows this kind of customer service Wayne needs to be fired he has little man syndrome..l probably missing a lot of essential key areas in his iife - goes home drinks goes to work had nothing going for him he degraded me so much I feel bad for him I hope he finds happiness ess in his sad sad life of his.
