Boreal Solar was recommended to us and when we asked for a consult we had Jon Berry come to the house. From the consult to install, Boreal was exceptionally professional. Jon was great at explaining every detail and helping us through the process. When we had questions, Jon answered them right away.
The installers were excellent, they were friendly, professional and very courteous. They cleaned up after themselves each day and you would never even know they were there!

Jon Berry of Boreal Energy was our first contact with a Solar program and he explained in great detail all aspects regarding overall costs, benefits, Installation, provincial and federal funding incentives etc. We took some time to decide on the install and we contacted Jon Berry numerous times to explain issues. There was never any pressure to proceed with a decision, it was totally left to us. When the decision was made to proceed the installation was done very quickly. The installation crew were remarkable - courteous, neat, knowledgeable, fast, safety conscious at all times and a pleasure to have in our home. The Boreal electricians handled all permits, inspections, contacting Fortes for power shut off and restoration and meter changes, all work was done fast, efficient and courteous. I started up with Boreal last fall-2024. throughout the whole process our questions were always answered and answered promptly. Although I was going into this solar panel upgrade with little knowledge of Boreal's as a company, & I did have my trepidations about solar panels especially the cost!
However, dealing with Jon Berry thru all of it from the very start to even last week -Jon is definitely the person you want to be dealing with on such an issue. his overall demeanour it was always positive and professional & and very knowledgable!
When I was required to fill in documentation at the beginning, it was a fairly intensive -Jon offered to assist on filling in blanks that he could help with or he would direct me on whom I should be speaking to to get certain information from.
And in the end out of my pocket, it really was pennies! Having to take a couple days off for inspections for the installation of the solar panels and other inspections I paid an initial deposit to get the ball rolling. I received my deposit back with no questions asked and now I have my solar panels and I'm good to go!
I would say if you interested in going "solar" contact Jon Berry at Boreal, I guarantee you will not be unhappy or sorry that you did!
And to think it all started with a cold call knock at my front door. I thought it was just another annoying sales person trying to sell something and look now.!! Haha
