Terrible company. On three occasions, the water meter readers have left my gate open, causing my dogs to get loose. How hard is it to close a gate? (I have this on camera). They don’t even ring the doorbell—they just walk into my backyard as if they own it. Are you going to pay the bill if my dogs get injured or hurt you or someone else? Irresponsible employees! Crap Customer Service! Call to complain - useless.

If there were another option for power in Sarnia, I would switch. As a first-time home buyer, every cost adds up, and my experience with Bluewater Power has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening. Over the summer, they contacted me to schedule an appointment to install a new meter, explaining it was necessary for an accurate reading. I had just invested in having my entire front yard releveled and grass planted, so I was naturally concerned about the impact on my yard. I was assured it would be left in pristine condition, "as if they were never there."

However, after the installation, they left a large patch of sand in my yard where they’d been working. I had to call them to come back and plant grass, which they did, but it was a frustrating inconvenience.

Then came the billing. My first bill after the installation was over $400 — more than six times my usual amount of around $200. I reached out, thinking there must be some mistake, only to be told the high bill was due to "back-charging" for the entire previous year since the old meter hadn’t been giving accurate readings. Apparently, I was now being held responsible for charges due to their oversight with the old meter.

This kind of customer service is unacceptable. If a business makes an error, it shouldn’t be the customer’s responsibility to cover the cost, especially not after a year has passed. As a business owner myself, I would never go back to a customer and charge them retroactively for a mistake I made. Bluewater Power should be accountable for their errors, not their customers.

During tonight’s cold and windy winter storm, the power to just our house went out due to a fuse at the road. Bluewater power’s social media team was incredibly quick to respond to my facebook comment, then had me message them directly, and sent their team out to take a look all within minutes. The crew arrived at my address (out in the country) shortly after, and had the power restored in less than 10 minutes! Great service all around. Thanks again for all you do!!

I just moved and started to use this company. I had questions about my billing, account, and setting up my payment. I had an attendant quickly on the phone, she was very patient, had to reset my account a few times, and walked me through everything in a professional manner. I really appreciated her assistance.

I can't say that I am happy with how high the electricity delivery rate is, usage is fine. But at least the customer service has been excellent.

Awful company. Loses power for only one sector of the grid. And arguably the most important sector for the communities economic development (downtown and the Mitton village area). Restores our power back to us and says the issue is mostly resolved. And then loses power again for the same sector. Bill Dennis and his wife need to leave the company and make money off their affluent freakouts on the public. It's such a disgrace community members of Sarnia only have them as their option for electricity. We need a better company, not these clowns messing up their own power grid and "investigating" it each time without making a public statement, EVER, on what causes these outages.

Absolute garbage, $3.50 fee to pay your bill online, everything will always be your fault and just declines everything seemingly when I try to pay. Update: I paid 200 on my bill, randomly said declined but it took the money off of my credit card. Now in limbo

Horrible. Bluewater Power sucks!!!!!!!! The power goes out randomly in the middle of the day 3-4 times a year for short to long periods of time. No compensation, no explanation. When it goes out during the winter, it’s the worst. Is this really the best for Sarnia?
