Blue Crest Electric was very professional and they met my high standards. What they do better than others: 1) They charge by scope of work so you know what you will pay no matter how long it takes. Others may charge an hourly rate but have a minimum charge like $200 (this doesn't work in your favor if the job is simple and takes less than 1 hour). I like the Blue Crest business model better and their hourly rate is competitive. 2) They get timely and accurate quotes to you so you know what you will be charged (no scope creep etc) 3) they communicate to you to tell you when the technician is scheduled and send a notification when they are on the way 4) you can always contact someone (ie. Christine was extremely helpful and efficient) 5) they were able to squeeze in an emergency and rearrange scheduling when my project had some conflicting schedules. I also made an error in judgement and had the electrician scheduled too early in the job and they still accommodated my request 6) they provided extra professional finishing (ie. cover plates, new switch plates) all without having to ask them. Nathan was fantastic! Very kind, honest and detail oriented. He ensured you were happy with the work checking in at the beginning, middle and end of the task. Making sure he understands what you need done, giving you options and walking you through all their certifications etc. That's what professionalism looks like. Definitely pleased with the quality, professionalism and the price (value). I highly recommend them for big and small jobs.

What an amazing experience. Blue Crest Electric gave top notch customer service we rarely see nowadays. The communication was great. After my first call, Doug came to our house for an estimate. He was here first thing in the morning and was friendly, professional, thorough and answered all my questions. I received the quote the same day by email. The following week, Doug, Nathan and Dexter came to our home to install a chandelier at a height of 26 feet on scaffolding. They also added a new 50 amp breaker and new wire to our cooktop. We were so pleased they were able to feed wire through attic, walls and crawl space. Other places told us they would need to cut 2 to 3 big holes into our newly painted walls to run the wire. Good thing I called Blue Crest Electric.
What an amazing job. Thank you Doug for overseeing and planning, Nathan for your bravery putting in the chandelier at 26 feet up and your expertise. Thank you Dexter for your professionalism and not complaining about the crawl space 😆
When the job was finished, the house was left spotless and the quote given was the actual price. No up charges. How refreshing. Highly recommend.

The whole process was very smooth. Doug conducted the initial quote in a timely manner. He was very insightful, explained the whole process and different terminology clearly. He communicated very clearly through email and the quote was detailed. We were getting pot lights throughout the house and there were some concerns about ripping up the drywall or the floor to make the wire runs, but Trevor and his team planned it very thoroughly and they were able to install them without any damage. They took every precaution to protect the counters and walls. The work was completed quickly and their multiple payment methods made it easy to settle accounts. A few weeks after the work was completed, one of the pot lights died, I emailed Doug and he sent a team the very next day to fix it. The admin team was very attentive on the phone, when they said they will get back to me, they did! It was a pleasure working with the Blue Crest team! Trevor, Colton, and Marcus were superstars and did amazing work. Highly recommend them for any of your electrical needs.

We have used Blue Crest Electric over the past few years for electrical work in our house with an assortment of outlet replacements, breaker box replacement, and new ceiling lighting fixtures replaced/installed. These guys have been prompt and professional every time. Larry and Nathan did our most recent replacement work for new lighting fixtures installed and they were great to deal with in setting up our quote as well as carrying out the work required - they were both courteous, no BS, and provided good solutions for our lighting needs.

I’d like to start with this review as a warning to all contractors thinking of working with this company.
Larry subcontracted me to remove four trees for a power line installation. After I provided my estimate, which was accepted, I found out that the site was locked. I asked for the key to start the work immediately and after a few days, Larry sent me an Abbotsford address to pick up the key and said: “send one of your lackeys from Maple Ridge to get it.” I find this language in reference to my employees extremely rude and offensive. I personally drove to Abbotsford from Maple Ridge to get the key. This was an additional extra hour of work that was added to my final invoice. After sending the invoice, Larry quickly responded that he will not pay the extra hour of work. I will mention that I did offer to return courier the key at my own expense, to save the company a further additional hour. I was told by Larry that, miraculously, “the office has moved and is no longer there.” He chose to send one of his guys to pick up the key from my office. They withheld payment for twenty-four days and then sent me an e-transfer for the work done minus the additional hour. I feel that my payment was purposely withheld as punishment and I was told I would be black-listed from their list of subcontractors. There is still the outstanding balance remaining that Larry refuses to pay and refuses multiple times to let me speak to management.
Beware of this company if you’re working for them.

I recently had a fallen branch doing damage to the hydro cable coming into the smart meter frying both the meter base and the meter. It was the worst possible timing because my wife just came back from an emergency hernia operation and the last thing I need is no heat and light. Christine at the office did her magic to expedite the scheduled repair and Larry and his partner came and did their job quickly, efficiently, expertly, and courteously. He was also able to give me advise regarding home insurance claims. I could not be more happy with their service. Highly recommend.

We had quite a big to do list of electrical things for our house we just moved into. Blue Crest (mainly Doug) was easy to work with, explained everything clearly, and was professional through the whole process.

All needs were totally addressed with careful thought.
