After going through several bids, I finally decided to work with BioGreen to address drainage issues around my (new to me) house. I met with their estimate guy several times to work through the major details of the work.

After committing a 10% payment on the job, there was there was about a month delay before my job date. Not surprised considering how much of this type of work is being done right now, but something to keep in mind if you plan to do something like this. Fortunately they called me a few days early and offered to move the job forward a day if possible. Which worked out good for me.

Installation day interesting. The lead of the installation team suggested some revisions to the plan that would probably be better than what was spec'ed by the estimate guy. Fortunately I was able to afford the revisions. I did think that the revisions were important and they didn't really come up until the ground was broken and we could all see what we were dealing with. In the future I'll ask tougher questions on projects this big. It may be necessary to dig a few test holes to understand where things are buried when planing out work needed.

The job entailed significant ditch digging and the team worked very hard on getting them dug without harming any of the marked utility lines. I was particularly nervous about power and internet lines... Fortunately they hand dug everything and no marked line was touched. They also did a reasonable job no cutting any of the non-marked wires and pipes that crisscross my yard.

Overall I would say the team did a great job and I am relieved to have it done.

A few months ago there was a mix up in which by mistake it was reported that I was moving in when in fact I never notified Bio Green of such thing; the service was suspended and I was frustrated trying to understand what happened. Long story short, this week I got a call from Dave Schrader that made me feel much better and fully recover the trust in Bio Green. He really wanted to get to the bottom of it and showed great customer care. My lawn improved a lot after starting the program with Bio Green and I am happy to report that not only they take care of the lawn but also of their customers. Thanks a lot Dave.

Bio green installed our irrigation system almost 15 years ago and has serviced it every year since. Today Joe and Eric came to service it , ensure proper coverage , adjust and replace defective nozzles. They were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their work. In short, they were terrific and we look forward to having them back when needed. Bio Green should be proud to have them in its employ.

I had been a customer of BioGreen for almost two decades and across three homes since moving to Northern Virginia. I experienced great results and great service for most of that time. This past year has been quite the opposite experience. I understand the whole world is understaffed, but their lack of results, poor customer service and indifferent attitude has me looking elsewhere. Half of my lawn is dead, it took months to repair our irrigation system & a few weeks later it stopped working again. I expressed my frustration when I sent a message to cancel our service & I received a call to see if I wanted to cancel my aeration service. Stories shared on our neighborhood website confirm that my experience isn’t isolated. Be careful what the sales team promises. Execution is everything. That’s where they’ve dropped the ball. It’s a shame because for almost 20 years, I was automatic.

We purchased our home in the summer of 2010 and the lawn was in terrible condition. We wanted a lawn care service and an irrigation system so we chose Bio Green who offered both services. We started the lawn care service in 2010 and had them install an irrigation in 2011. After five years of service, our lawn looks great - the best on the block.

In the first couple of years we had some issues where the grass was browning. Bio Green's team spent a lot of time trying to determine the issue. After many tests, they found a problem with our irrigation system. While it was an installation issue, I do have to say that they did a great job addressing the issue.

Our irrigation system is working great, Bio Green's lawn service is doing it's thing and our lawn looks fantastic! I highly recommend Bio Green for your lawn care needs.

Overall a good company with good/above average products/good value. Have switched multiple times in the past with other companies in this field however have stayed with BioGreen for 5+ years. Technician Robert Brown who services my lawn always seems to do a good job with coverage without causing causing a burn. Would recommend this company for anyone interested in keeping a beautiful lawn.

Have mixed review of Biogreen. First the great part. Lee S, their technician that came out today, is absolutely fantastic. Professional, courteous, and just an overall great guy. He dug out the broken sprinkler line (which was almost 6' underground!), made the repair, removed a number of massive rocks that had pushed against the pipe to cause the rupture, filled the hole and even saved and replaced all the grass at the end. It looks so good its as if he was not even there. He took pictures and showed me exactly what was going on and gave me details of the repair. IF you need any help with your sprinkler system and use the Sterling Biogreen location, hope and pray that you get Lee to work on the house.
Now the bad...
We have been trying to get this repair done since April 4th (it is now August 28), and have been without sprinklers or the use of hoses for almost 5 months. FOUR appointments were all cancelled at the last minute, either by the technician himself or by the office staff. My wife and I took a combined 4 days off to be here when they arrived, only to have them cancel the morning of the appointment.
The office staff / receptionist who we contacted after each cancellation in order to reschedule was wholly unhelpful almost to the point where she was incensed that we were calling to reschedule.
Thankfully Lee, the technician, gave me his card so if I ever need anything else I can contact him directly rather than trying to deal with the nightmare that is the Biogreen office staff.

I have been a BioGreen lawn care customer since shortly after they opened their doors to serve the northern Virginia area in 1987. While my experience with the lawn care technicians has generally been very good, I must say that Robert Brown continues to stand out amongst those technicians who provided the service to my property before him.

He is genuinely friendly and presents himself to be fully accountable for the results he is able to achieve over the course of the year of scheduled services.

If I were going into the lawn care business, I would try to recruit him in a heartbeat to be the first employee I would try to hire.

And since we know that employees tend to stay or leave a company because of his or her supervisor, the management staff at BioGreen must be doing a great job of providing meaningful feedback, on a regular basis, to the workers who make up team.
