I keep wondering how I use less than $100 in electricity but the bill is over $300. Then I look at the fees that they are ripping me off with. Fee on fee on fee. I used to think Ontario was expensive. There is no such thing as the Alberta advantage.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience with ATCO Electric. Over the past six months, I have been continuously billed for a property I vacated on February 29, 2024. Despite my repeated attempts to resolve this issue, I have been passed off to numerous representatives, each promising a follow-up within two days. However, a week later, I find myself having to reach out again to multiple people for any update.

Adding to my frustration, ATCO Electric has been double-billing both me and the new tenant for the same service and energy consumption. This lack of coordination is unacceptable. Their customer service is severely lacking, and their handling of my situation has been nothing short of terrible.

Missed one month because I was out of the province for the entire month and got home to a termination letter a week before the next bill was due. Unacceptable. I haven't missed a payment on anything in well over 10 years. Time for a new company if I can find one.

Electric bills with this company is rediculus in my opinion. Used under $100, got charged $220+ services charges..$300 + bills for just lights on for a month. With a doubled gas bill too, how are people suppose to eat and live? Not everyone in Fort McMurray makes a ton of money!!! some people have to live off Walmart or restaurant wages..

the worst company to deal with in fort mcmurray. direct energy contacted them to reconnect our electricity and they haven't showed up for the agreed time.

would not suggest using them, billing error on their side, I paid the money that didn't get taken as a result of this and my account got cancelled and now they want $400 per service ($800) to use their services again even when I don't owe them a dime.
