I hate writing reviews. I am a Grumpy old Vet and nobody seems to live up to my expectations as far a Contractor goes. That is until now. These guys are top notch, experts in the field. They replaced my entire HVAC system with Military Precision. All Techs were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and polite. They answered my questions and dealt with my concerns that made me feel at ease and comfortable in my decision to hire this company. The system works great, and I knew there would be some tweaking needed after installation. Once I called, they responded quickly to my calls for service. Again being friendly in addressing my concern’s, and tweaked it, they did Outstanding. If you ever get into home remodeling, I have a Job for you. LOL. Thank you all. I can’t say enough good things about you. Just don't Slack off and make me recant this review! LOL

Final edit: It took longer than I'd have hoped, but they did pay for the damages. I appreciated them standing behind their work, although it doesn't entirely make up for the aggravation they caused.

Edit 6/16/20: I did hear back from the company today - they've agreed to cover the damage without argument. I appreciate that they stand by their service, and I'm updating the review for now. I'll revisit it again once the issue is resolved.

As a service contract holder, I have historically been quite a strong proponent of UGI. However, my recent experience with the company hasn't been great. The last guy who came out to fix a problem we had took a lot longer to get in contact than he said he would, then told me that there was an additional fix he had to make that would head off future problems. At the time I was grateful for the consideration and forethought, but then subsequently it appears that he made a mistake that resulted in water pouring down through my daughter's ceiling a couple of weeks later. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but obviously it's upsetting to suddenly discover a dirty waterfall in your child's bedroom.

More annoyingly, when I called UGI to get help with my ongoing problem, it took half a dozen phone calls and a full day to get someone to show up to fix it - and I'm still waiting to hear back about the damage to my house. The person I spoke to on the phone yesterday promised that a manager would call me yesterday. They didn't. I just got off the phone with them again - they made the same promise. We'll see. It's possible that UGI will turn this experience around... but it's not looking good right now.

UGI recently installed a new gas combi-boiler in our home to replace our old oil boiler and they did an OUTSTANDING job!

UGI Joe, as we fondly nicknamed him, advised us on which system to install and was so kind and helpful to us in making our decision. Ray, the installation technician, was top notch! He did a beautiful installation job and when he and his assistants left, our laundry room where the furnace was installed, was spotless.

The system is working great! Our home is much warmer and more evenly heated. We are really impressed with UGI's employees and the system we chose to install and look forward to many years of excellent service.

UGI Sales representative Joe Lenbach was knowledgeable and efficient, listened to my needs, made reasonable offers, and provides prompt response to my calls. Heil Furnace installation technicians Brian and Rick were proficient worked professionally and were good at ensuring my questions and needs were met. Great work and outstanding quality installation. Later I read manual and sure enough they installed according to manufacturing standards.

This company sucks, and should not be allowed to carry the UGI name. Our Hot Water/Furnace went out on this past Saturday night. We found out when we woke up, the residence was cold, and we only had cold water.
I called UGI Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. They were to be here between 8 AM and 12 PM. After 12 PM came and went I called again, was treated like I really didn't matter and was placed on a extended hold only too be told they were transferring my call to another tech who would call before arriving.
Needless to say no call came and late in the afternoon I was on the phone again when the tech arrive. He looked at our system and said "Hmmm. I actually had the part on his other truck, but figured he would never need it!' I asked when would he get the part and he blew us off walking out the door and said "They will be in touch!"
On Monday afternoon I called and gain and was told the part was shown to be ordered and that they would have someone call and give us an update. Meanwhile during this whole time we are showering at another residence so we could go to work, unable to do dishes or laundry. I called a local supplier and was told they have the part in stock.
Today (Tuesday) I called again. Spoke with a very unprofessional customer service again who wouldn't even let me speak. I was told by her the part was ordered from Philadelphia and they have no idea how or when they would get it and they would call me to schedule for the repair. After this I asked her was she done and I began to tell her that the part was available not even 5 miles away at supplier and they could get the part there, she then became more irate and threatened to end the call when she talked over me and would not listen. Needless to say, she abruptly ended the call just because I was wanting to let her know that the part was available closer, and her yelling over me as I spoke so I spoke louder to get it on the recording.
I just received a call, our part has arrived and they scheduled our appointment tentatively at Friday between 8AM and 12 PM. Not even offering to have someone come today!
This is unacceptable! Let them deal without hot water or heat for 3 plus days and see how they would feel. No one should have to go through this with a company that is supposed to be customer service oriented. DON'T USE THEM AT ALL!

I called to have someone come out and check out my gas converted furnace as it was having issues tripping and shutting off. I have 2 small kids so need heat coming into this cold front. The woman that answered was very unprofessional and pretty much turned me away stating they couldn’t see me for 2 weeks even as an emergency appointment and they have customers on protection plans that are priority. which I totally get and was willing to set that up as we don’t have a service provider and have been looking, we only recently bought the home. however when I mentioned that she said well it will still be 30 days until that takes effect. It just felt like they really didn’t want our business or to help. I get you sometimes can’t get same day help but I was just really disappointed that it seemed like she really didn’t want to work with or help me at all.

Would highly recommend UGI's service agreement as this is fair and superior to any 3rd party company offering the same. My experiences have been stupendous both with AC and Heating repairs. Professionalism all the way through from the call center to the service techs. Even with Covid they came through with integrity. In this last repair we needed to parts for furnace and they provided a temp fix with a part that would get us through till the new parts arrived. Can't thank them enough for the outstanding service they have twice provided. They care and that is a rarity these days. Never would I use a 3rd party service provider, there's no comparison. Have had a service contract for years and it's been quite the investment. Just once experience a heating or cooling problem without service agreement and you'll understand the priceless value of this. Dollars add up quickly when repairs are needed these days, sticker shock can shake you to the core.
This company goes all the way in providing a professional approach and am happy to share my experiences. Yeah yeah you say they're a utility company, no a complete year round upstanding company providing superior delivery of customer service skills matched by none. Thanks

My Sales Representative Joe Leinbach was so very personable.
His knowledge of various types of system and how best to apply them to your home was great.

Joe took my calls any and every time I called him.

My wife & I are extremely happy with our new gas furnace and thanks to Joe we feel very exited to see what this winter brings now that we have gas.

From consult to final walk through Joe has made us feel important and comfortable.
