BCAA forced me to use these guys for insurance repairs. The abatement of the flood damage went fine but their drywaller is either blind or just doesn't care. It looks like it was done by me! He blamed all the cracks in the ceiling on my house (10 years old built by Red Dog) was causing the cracks.

My tenant was desperate to return to his suite or I'd have NEVER accepted that quality work in my custom high-end home.

Clean Scene was our insurance company's restoration company after an ice dam issue we had a couple of winters ago. We had just completed a small room renovation that had to be taken apart due to the damage. From the time I had gone over things with the owner, things were sketchy from there includinf that I would need to get a new building permit and that a ton more work would have to be done to "bring the work to code" when they replaced it. Only $3k of my replacement money was set to cover some of their quote that came in at almost $18k. It felt sketchy because it was. Information was not included that he said it was, gaslit me when I advised him I didn't recall certain things, was non-responsive (for WEEKS) and I felt that basically, if I had just gone with him, I wouldn't have been able to find somebody else to do the work, and therefore didn't know other options. I am almost glad that I encountered clean to know who not to do business with, and I also told my insurance company to do not use them because they were scammers clean scene. Basically just wanted the business not thinking I might consult with somebody else and come up with different solutions. not trustworthy at all, Nonresponsive, takes advantage of peoples' lack of knowledge. He started dodging me starting to get onto what his approach was about. Overblown quotes and horrible service. Do not use this company. Highly DO NOT recommend. Low Google review rating for a reason. We called this business after water started leaking through a broken pipe in our roof during a rainstorm. A guy came, said he fixed the issue, didn’t test it at all, and left. A few days later (on a Friday) it rained again and water came pouring through again. He refused to come back that evening and instead came the next morning (Saturday) and charged us for an emergency call and weekend overtime (hundreds of dollars), and then took hours (which we were charged for) coming and going and buying materials. Had he tested the “fix” before declaring the job done the first day, we would never have incurred these other costs. They refused to budge on the invoice, and threatened to sue us. The entire time he was here the contractor wouldn’t tell me how much in fees we were racking up, simply telling me that it was up to the office to do the invoicing. He wouldnt even tell me when I repeatedly asked if it was going to be below our $1000 insurance deductible. Indicating that he didn’t know, but most likely yes. It was $1400 for a fix that should have been $400. they waited weeks to send us the invoice, and were impossible to reach regarding our dispute of the charges and what was done. Had they told me how much they charged for a weekend call I would have just gone through another company to fix their error. They never ever made me aware of what kind of charges an emergency call or weekend overtime was going to be. Now we have to pay it even though it was their fault that we had to call them back on a weekend. So I guess that they can just go wherever they want, do half a job, and then charge overtime when they are called back to fix their shoddy work. Unbelievable. Do not go through this company. What a nightmare. They also left an extra blower in our basement (for an unrelated leak that we experienced) and told me they were not going to charge us for it since they had an extra one with them and then did anyway. Worst experience with a contractor ever.

Absolutely the most unprofessional and unresponsive company I've ever used. I'd advise against ANYONE using them. If you pay them to fix a leak, make sure it's fixed. If they screw up and don't fix it, they'll charge you double to come back and fix their own mistakes.
