Called for warranty repair on a heat pump they installed 9 years ago. When they were installed we were told we have an extended warranty from 5 years to 10.
1st visit to diagnose - technician was pleasant. He said that we lost refrigerant and that there "must be" a leak in the line and that we would need the line replaced. He didn't actually find the leak. He also advised we needed a new fan motor for the downstairs unit. Great, I asked about the warranty and he said he would talk to his parts guy. I said great, but regardless the parts need to be ordered. I also said that I would like to have the units cleaned on the next visit. This was June 26, 2025. I called back 2 weeks later because I hadn't heard anything. I found out that the part was never ordered. Great. They ordered the part and advised that there was no warranty. 2nd visit, different technician and also pleasant. He knew little from the original visit. Only knew that he was there to replace a fan motor. When I brought up the cleaning and line replacement he not only knew nothing about them, he didn't have the "big" ladder to be able to do either task. Great. He said he could install the fan motor in the lower unit while he was there. I said okay. Before he left he advised that we also need a fan motor for the upper unit which was not originally discussed. I said okay. Please make sure it's booked correctly for the next visit. Upper fan motor, cleaning on both units, and line replacement. Please make sure you book the "big" ladder. He assured me it would all be taken care of. 3rd visit, original technician from the 1st visit shows up. I asked right away, do you have the "big" ladder. No, no he does not. He was there to replace a fan motor. I said so I would be charged for this service call, and for another service call for a 4th visit? He suggested he not do anything, go back and get it all worked out to have the 4th and final visit to get it all done. He said that he wouldn't charge for this visit. I'm thinking your damn right you won't. I told him that I had planned to call the office and speak to someone about it. He said he was going to as well. I spoke to what I think is the service manager. Told him the whole story. I said how I felt like I was being taken advantage of at this point. I said the 4th visit will need to be when my husband is home. He can deal with it. Service Manager apologized and said he would take care of everything.
Meanwhile, I called about the warranty. The lady I spoke with said that they switched over systems a few years ago and that she doesn't have my warranty on file anymore. She spoke to Bill LeRoy who she said remembered that back then all warranty was mailed out to the customer. I find out from someone else in the business (for over 30 years) that the GE 10 year warranty required you to register your product within a certain time frame in order to get the 10 year warranty. He said it is like credits that GE gives you for warranty repair and once you use them up that's it. This was never told to me from LeRoy's. Not only that, they actually did a warranty repair within the first year that we had the heat pumps. So I feel like I was completely ripped off with the warranty repair. Back to visit #4 today, September 5th after dealing with this since June - original technician from visit #1 calls 5 minutes after they were supposed to be here. I missed the call and called him back. He said that his truck broke down and that he had to get another truck and that he was on his way. At the 50 minute late mark I called him and said just to cancel the call. Their office is maybe 12 minutes away from where I live. I am done forever with LeRoy's. Maybe back in the day they were a great local company to deal with. Present day, they are not. I would not recommend.

Excellent service, and prompt responses, even though we are in a remote location. The lads did a bang-up job in installing the tank to our 44' Road Warrior Toy Hauler in its now permanent location, outside of St. Stephen.

We had outstanding response to a hotwater heating system issue at the start of the busy winter season. The two tradespersons employees a very nice woman and a courteous gentleman working in conjunction with an outstanding very capable electrician Brad Bourque performed as a communicative team providing highly competent service and great satisfaction

Could not find this place. I think it has closed because it was no where to be seen. We had used this place before when our pump had gone caput for our well but they must have closed the bussiness.
