Writing this review in the hopes that others can avoid my experience. Kathy is not equipped to treat trans patients in any capacity let alone issues related specifically to transness.

I ended up cutting our first session short by 30 minutes but in the 30 minutes we did speak she managed to:

-ask if I had "completed" my transition
-tell me that, for some people, pronouns are just too hard to understand and I should work on just accepting that
-compare her status as a recovering alcoholic to being trans
-ask if my hrt meds were really what's causing my stress
-try to convince me that because there's a trans person in her family that means she is somehow automatically understanding of trans people

Overall very negative experience. I'm not sure who Kathy is able to help but it's certainly not trans people.

Initially, Kathy was great. Had a great rapport with her. Once I was dealing with my trauma well enough though, I was being defined by my addictions.
What works for her I found offensive to be pushed on me.
Every person I know of where I work that goes there, no matter who they see, it’s the same story. Huge push on AA

Great counsellors who care about you and work to build a working relationship with their clients. Counselling has been challenging in ways where you learn more about yourself and are encouraged to be open in a place that is safe to do so. Definitely recommend going here.

Went here for marriage counselling and was advised by counsellor the two following items:
1. happy wife happy life
2. if you don't adjust, you will be eating ichiban for the rest of your life.

Basically it helped move the marriage to a divorce, not great for me and would not recommend to anyone.

Don’t waste your time or benefits on this place . Unprofessional from the time you phone in. Seen other therapists and it’s a lot different when professional. PAR is garbage!
