Something seriously needs to be done about utility Kingston. The government of Canada needs to intervene at this point. You simply cannot treat customers like this from the customer service to their actual service delivery is absolute garbage and unfair to paying customers. How is this type of service delivery even legal blows my mind!

Aside from a couple wait times that took a little longer than I'd expect I've never had issues with setting up my account, managing utilities bills, or closing my account. Website is straight forward and easy to navigate!

Utilities Kingston as an organization is in need of major improvements. Their website is unclear and not user-friendly - it is difficult to find the information I'm looking for. Their customer service representatives over the phone are hit-or-miss - sometimes they are helpful and other times they omit crucial pieces of information.
Also, Utilities Kingston claim that I have an unpaid bill, but I never received that bill in the mail. I am now trying to register for eBilling to avoid this issue in the future, but the system keeps shutting down. So far, my experience with Utilities Kingston has been stressful and taxing.

Zero understanding of customer service..
Disconnected my power within my first month of moving in because I hadn’t registered with them. I said I’d received nothing in the mail in regard to the process and I wasn’t sure what to do. They elected to charge me nearly $100 to reconnect. I figured after paying $7000 in “Welcome Tax” that would at least let Kingston Utilities know I moved in. I was told the fee would get waived because it should have been communicated via mail and low and behold, the fee is on my first bill. Their customer service line has zero sympathy for their customers. I’ve lived in multiple cities over the past 12 years and this is most unwelcome I’ve ever felt. Thanks Kingston Utilities, you’re essentially dragging down the reputation of this area single handedly.

I had a minor sewer backup and called Utilities Kingston about it and arranged an appointment first thing this morning with their staff. They came at the specified time, put the camera through my pipes and explained everything to me and what I should do to prevent this kind of thing from happening in the future. Brad and Dion were extremely pleasant, very knowledgeable and got the job done very quickly. Everyone needs more employees like these guys.

They are saying that we haven’t been paying for water and sewer for over a year but yet I have bills proving I have been charged some months. They are saying I am going to have to pay a lump sum of money for their mistake!! If there was another option I would take it. This company cannot be trusted!!! If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible customer service. The representative was snarking and giggling under his breath while on the phone.

My story is too long..says never paid water bill..have proof.of all transactions and confirmation number showing..made me pay stupid reconnect fee including a new bill I hadn't even received yet..crooks is an u derstatement of this pos company
