Horrible Service, Terrible Experience

Hydro One's service has been a nightmare. I was told my power would be restored the next day, but after 8 days of constant delays and vague updates, it was finally restored—only for it to go out again at 8:30 PM the very next day. Completely unacceptable. Their lack of communication and reliability is appalling. I sat on the phone line for 15 minutes waiting to speak with someone like the automated message told me I would with a 9-13 min hold, but instead at the 15 min mark the call was automatically ended. I wouldn’t trust them again.

My wire had to be taken down so we could pay to have the conduit pipes replaced. They were fixed 6 days ago no eta on when a crew will come back to put the wire back up. I was told that because we only have 4 people in the house we aren’t have to be patient while they put resources to “the greater good”. -21 overnight.

live in a rural area just outside of Dunsford, if you don’t live in a big neighbourhood i highly recommend purchasing a full generac system for your home or something of the sort. Our power has been out since March 29th, it’s currently April first and we are still completely powerless! Most surrounding neighbourhoods got power yesterday (March 30th) anyway if you live in a rural area do not leave your hopes for power to hydro one. And please heavily consider alternative power sources for backup.

The hydro crews put in long hours for many days to get everyone back up and running. After the crazy ice storm we saw trucks everywhere. I'm embarrassed for the folks that gave one star reviews because they weren't back in service as soon as they'd like "because they are paying customers" or their estimated date kept getting pushed out, no one really knew and these same people would have freaked out if they were given ETA's of a week initially. Thanks Hydro One!

Power went out 7 days ago and they said it would be back on the very same day then they changed it to the next morning then to that night now it’s 7 days later we still have no power and every single day they state it will be on that day at a certain time and when we get to that time they change by 9 to 12 hours and when that 9 to 12 hours later happens there’s still no power and they change it again

almost 5 days of assessing damage and an app telling me lies about how there’s crews dispatched or things of the sort that are all completely false including a time for when my power will come back, not sure what these people are paid for…
