We used Guelph Solar for our residential solar project and had a fantastic experience. Mike, Chris, and the team were accessible and responsive to all of my questions and they went to bat to make sure everything went smoothly even when we ran into some challenges with building permit delays from city hall. The panels look great, the work was done quickly and professionally, and the price and value were excellent. They consistently explained what to expect at each stage, kept me informed of progress, and always asked for my input before proceeding. During the installation, Raj Chimanbhai, a member of the installation team, was especially impressive. He went above and beyond to make sure the work did not disrupt any of our existing setups and paid close attention to cosmetic details, ensuring a clean and professional finish. After researching and comparing companies, we chose Guelph Solar for our solar panel installation. Misha was patient and knowledgeable, we had many questions and changed our design plan a few times which didn't seem to faze him at all. Misha helped us through the process and we ended up with exactly what we hoped for.

Brandi, Kristy and Chris kept us updated on the permits, payments, installation dates, electrical visits and answered all our questions quickly. Once our solar panels were grid ready, Chris talked us through how to turn the system on.

The installation team were polite, tidy and friendly. They called each morning to confirm their arrival time. You could tell they were proud of their work and they did a fabulous job.

The electrical team were amazing! The electricians were friendly, tidy and answered questions. We also had an EV charger installed.

After meeting with over half a dozen solar panel companies I knew Guelph Solar was the right choice. They were the only company that didn’t ask me to sign a contract right away for a specific system that I didn’t fully understand yet. In fact, they were more than happy to put me in queue for an install date while still educating me and letting me make my own decisions on what was right. They were also the only company that informed me about optimizers, which save you both money and roof space, because they are cheaper than adding more panels, and create more electricity with fewer panels. Other companies tried to convince me to cover my entire roof with panels and cut down my trees to get the same output. Also, as the install date approached GS alerted me to a price reduction on an older panel that freed up some room in the budget to add upgrades I was interested in. Now I have a great system that meets my current needs, and space for more panels if I wish to power an EV or heat pump in the future.

Guelph Solar was great to work with, but unfortunately HydroOne did not have capacity to allow our system to feed into the grid. GS was very responsive to questions and professional in all aspects of the project. Highly recommend them.
