We had Roost Solar submit a solar design and quotation based on our house design prior to breaking ground and starting construction. Even though Roost Solar was aware it would be well over a year aware, they ensured we had a comprehensive plan and quote, so we understood the expected production and could build in the cost into our project. This allowed us to make an informed decision if solar was going to be a good fit for our home, including the esthetics/look of panels on our new home. 6 months post build, and I reconnected with staff at Roost, and they were again very professional and assisted us through the available grant program, proving valuable information and tips to make our application a breeze. Roost Solar made a site visit and because we shifted the angle of our home, they were able to determine our panels could be moved to the rear of our house as production was going to be greater, which caused a new design and solar production calculation, all of which they were happy to do and ensured we understood all the ins and outs. From there Roost Solar provided a tentative project start date and the great communication continued as they had to push our start date back by just a few days to ensure once they started they had all the required staff and material to complete our job in only 4 days. The whole Roost Solar team was very professional, kept a clean site, and were very friendly. He took the time to explain how the job was going and any hiccups they encountered and remedied. Even on project completion, one of the owners completed an audit and was able to find a deficiency that was corrected immediately. I would highly recommend Roost Solar, and we have been saving $$$ on our electrical ever since. Thank you, Roost Solar, 5 stars all around.

We were extremely impressed with the entire experience with Roost. Their proposal was clear and easy to understand, they were very patient with our numerous questions, and managed to get the system installed within a couple months of our final approval.

Installation of our 10kw system occurred over 3 days. The crew was very polite and professional. They worked safely and efficiently but didn't mind answering questions while they worked. They kept their work area clean and tidy, and cleaned up at the end of each day.

I was very impressed that the electrical installer took a few extra minutes to orient the wiring in a manner that took him longer but resulted in a much nicer finished result.

Even after paying the invoice the team continued to assist with the final setup with BCHydro net metering program, the monitoring system, etc.

Overall the experience was excellent. I simply cannot think of anything that could have been done better. While not the cheapest quote we received, I am confident that the extra expense was well worth it given the 25+ years that the system will be in/on our house.

Edit April 2025; We had Roost back to do another system (14kW) on our new shop. Our experience with them was as good as our first one! They installed the entire system in 2 days, and all wiring was done safely and neatly. Again, they assisted with BCHydro paperwork as well as paperwork for government grants. Another 5-star review from us !

Solar is 100% worthwhile with regard to savings in energy bills and everybody should take advantage of the sun. I cannot be happier with Roost specifically and solar in general.
