First, I looked online for the 2 items I needed. Concrete mix and a couple pieces of pressure treated wood. Their website didn't show if they were available, nor any prices. So, I went to the store, asked about them, the cashier looked them up said they were available. I wanted to see the items first so she called a person in the yard who showed them to me . There were no prices, nor did the person in the yard know the prices. I would like to mention the 2x2 pieces of wood I looked at were severely warped, but figured there would be 2 pieces in the pile that were straight. Went back in the store to place my order, only to find out that all the concrete mix were reserved. Why didn't the fellow in the yard know this? It was a complete waste of time going to Rona, and ended up getting these items at Home Depot in Pembroke without an issue! Sorry Rona, you've lost a customer, I won't waste my time there again.

Horrible customer service! My 12 year old child was shocked at the service we got. Website is not updated with quantity of items , as well as they never have the stock that is on sale in flyer. I’ll drive 20 min to home hardware where I’ve always got great service.

Went to return a ltr. of wood stain that was mixed by the store and was tinted "Black". When I applied the stain it was grey/blue. When I returned it to the store for a refund the gentleman slid the can back to me and said "Nope" we don't return mixed stains. I explained the clerk mixed it not me. Too bad he said. Nope. Too bad for you I said, not my fault. He then agreed to"Make an exception" and refund my money but not before loosing me as a customer. Bad attitude with him as well as the fellow who mixed the stain. No sign of customer service!! I will shop anywhere but at this RONA!!

I went to RONA in Petawawa today to return 4 cans of Thompson's water seal that I purchased on August 17th, 2024. The return policy for this item is 90 days so I expected the return process to be straightforward. While I did get a refund, the customer service I received was disappointing.
The older gentleman (seemed like the store owner) who assisted me was rude and unprofessional. He questioned why I was returning the product and made unnecessary comments like, "If you don't want it, no one's going to want it, and now I have to store this until next season." His tone made me feel as though I was being reprimanded for simply making a return.
I understand that stores need to manage inventory, but that's not the customer's concern. I was returning an unused item within the allowed time frame, and I shouldn't have been made to feel guilty about it.
This left a negative impression, and because of this poor experience, I won't be going back to this RONA location.

I recently purchased a water timer realized after I got home and opened it up that it was the wrong kind. Even though I had cut the hard plastic case they still gave me a refund. Thanks for the great customer service. Another reason to shop locally!

Went in to try and match a stain color. Employee was adamant they couldn’t open a can of stain to test. Cans were already open with stain around the rim. He was helpful and seemed disinterested in helping. As a contractor it’s hard to justify shipping there.

Customer service? Great! I've never had anyone be anything but helpful. Prices? Always higher than competitors, IF they have it in stock. The number of simple things I have gone in to get (wasp spray for one example) that they do not have in stock is astounding.
