Pretty straight forward, staff directed where to go and provided a hardhat while I unloaded. The lady at the desk was lovely to interact with, she offers great customer service. Ticket system is pretty slick, weight Ticket gets you a payment ticket which you then use at the ATM to get your cash. Easy as can be. Will definitely visit again.

Well had good service till today. Just got home and noticed the bill showed that i had dirty wire instead of number two copper coated wire, a difference of about a dollar a pound. I’m sure that 90% was extension cord and the rest was 14/2 wire. Called Logan Iron and metal and they just blew me off. Said that maybe all the last twenty or so times i shouldn’t have gotten the price i did. Really sad that they need to steal from clients to make a buck. I know i should have checked before i left but i trusted them
It’s bad enough that they only pay to the pound and don’t pay you for anything over the pound weight So i guess they make tones of money on clients products. It’s a real shame as i have dealt there many times and never had a problem. I dealt with Steve this time as they are looking for a new receiver

After calling ahead of time, my daughter-in-law and I attempted to take in a few of her smaller items that were broken and of no use. When we arrived I was told there is no walk-in customers and haven't been for years. We brought in our copper oven last year without any fuss, so this was a bit of a shock. It was a walk-in, as my sister didn't want to risk a flat tire on her SUV. Just had to put it on the vehicle scale and the guys took it from there.
Yesterday, we saw 3 homeless people walking away from their yard with empty carts, after being told there is no walk-ins. It seems to be a who-you-know kind of situation, when conducting business here.
Was extremely disappointed. The lady misinformed me of their procedure and than was lied to by a male employee while standing in the office, awkwardly holding random household items. We drove to a Point Douglas yard without any problems.
I don't see myself coming to this business in the future. Better communication skills are needed within the office and I recommend a sign that CLEARLY states no walk-in customers. Also including this key information on-line would save everyone some time and frustration.
1 star business. Definitely 1 star.

First time getting rid of a disassembled gazebo with an aluminum frame. 70lbs of aluminum was going in the garbage when a friend suggested going here.
I called. They were very helpful. I went in person in my car with the aluminum and the process was straightforward and easy. The staff were very friendly. And I was paid almost $50 to not throw my aluminum in the garbage!
If I had scrap metal again, I would definitely take it here.
