Just cancelled our commercial services with them with over 26 yrs. of giving them our hard earned $$$. After our bin was to be picked up on June 3 and they didn't show up I called and they said definitely would be June 5th. Again didn't show. My new bin was coming the following day on June 5th again had to call to get them here. Still no show.... And they want to charge me a cancellation fee because I broke my contract Not!
I was in shock to know that they were charging our business $453.00 a month for a 4 yard garbage bin dumped twice a month. I signed up with Waste Connections and the exact apple-apples match is now costing me $92.13 a month. I am so dumbfounded by the price difference that I want to contact someone at WM to complain. Cannot get through to anyone around here that wants to listen to me. I will be posting the information where ever I can to let everyone know that this WM has become a total rip off. I will also be contacting marketplace to get the word out. How dare they take advantage of businesses large or small. Shame on you Waste Management.

They've just started collecting the recycling waste in Guelph. They've pick up our waste twice and both times my bin has been half full. It is not frozen or even packed down. So the last time I called to complain. The lady asked if I could drop off the waste myself!!!! I said it was not a viable option, so after a breif pause she asked if I could put my bin out again so they can collect in the next 24-48 hours. That was 4 days ago and no one has come. Glad to see my taxes going to waste!

WM Canada does not have any phone numbers for customer service available on their website or their website dashboard. The only way to contact them is by calling the number on your bill.

We have been with WM Canada for over a decade and had few issues, but their driver failed to use appropriate caution and struck our garbage bin area and damaged it to the point that it can no longer be secured. It remains to be seen if WM will handle this situation appropriately.

Do not use this Service. The don't accept cancellations over the phone or email, you have to write a written letter explaining the cancellation. they will delay delay delay your attempts. This is criminal. No acceptable corporation in Canada will ever make you hand in a written cancellation. 2025 and they want a written notice? Scam.

Unreal how they operate. I was able to sign up over the phone and E-sign the agreement online, but cancelling I have to mail a registered letter to Kitchener during a Canada Post strike, and if the due date passes, then I guess Im SOL.

Original agreement has gone up over 65% over the course of 18 months, so who cares about having an agreement I guess because its in the fine print they can do whatever they want.

They require 3 months notice and $300 + fuel to remove the bin.

Price gouge, no help on the phone, agreements mean nothing, hassle to get rid of.

Brutal customer service.

Charged us for locks for our bin to prevent community dumping only to have their staff remove and lose the locks we paid for.
We’ve asked them for the locks for the last 2 months minimum. They delivered one of the 2.

Still waiting on 2nd.
They took it upon themselves to move the bins to a new area now taking up 5 parking spaces in our tiny lot for no reason.

We have placed no less than 10 calls to them.

To cancel they want a registered letter, $300 removal fee 90 days notice.
This is a disgusting practice in an under regulated industry that is taking advantage it corporate clients.

We are beyond disappointed in them and we do not recommend WM Canada for any commercial disposal needs.

One of the most predatory business I’ve ever dealt with. Renegotiated our contract in 2020 for a monthly fee of $144 after it had ballooned to over $500/month. Now, in 2024 it’s back to over $300/month. They recently changed their payment system and now want $13/month for credit card payments so we switched to direct banking payments. Their system didn’t take the first payment as it should have so our account was past due this month. Automated calls asking for payment every morning. I hate this company with every fibre of my being.
