My parents come over from the island to visit quite often and on every occasion make the time to stop into the store. I decided I would go with them for my first and last time however. I had brought my kids with us and as we had picked up some books to purchase as well as a few other things we made our way to the area in the back where the kids toys were and within seconds were confronted by a woman that was part of the staff. She immediately started to treat myself and my kids like we weren’t welcome there and we were only there to destroy the store. I decided to leave at that point however my parents still wanted to get the books for the kids which they took to the counter and gave the money their grandparents gave them to get whatever they wanted at the store. Sad that some miserable older woman could taint a place that so many people claim to be great. Hope that there aren’t too many people that have to deal with her or you may stand to lose a lot of business.

My favourite thrift store in Langley and I'm not just saying that because I work there but the stuff they sell is phenomenal and at a great rate too! Not to mention all the proceeds go to Langley Hospice Society which is a wonderful cause.

Nice place and friendly staff. They also support local charities. Will definitely revisit, although it is a bit on the smaller side.

I’ve been going to this little shop for about a year now, going once a week to every other week after long walks with my toddler daughter. I’ve donated on multiple occasions. I’ve always had a very good visit and never leave empty handed. Coming here is like mine and my toddler’s wind down after a long walk. We always end up picking up “new” toys, clothes, or books for my little one which there is a huge selection of, and on occasion something for myself. There are 2 staff members there that I wish I learned their names. They are the most wonderful people when shopping there. The first is a very bright and always smiling lady with beautiful curly hair, and the other that usually tends to the cash register that has an English accent(hoping I’m not mistaken, but apologies if I am). Today however, as soon as I had gotten to the toy section, a lady I had never encountered on my visits approached us.(I had my toddler in her stroller while I was also holding a shopping basket with children’s books and shoes) she right away says “these items in this area are for sale, not a play area”. To which I replied “I know”. We kind of had a 10 second stare down when she went to another customer grumbling something about parents bringing their kids in just to play. I am a little disappointed in the way she had approached me. I had intended to put the things I had in my basket away and just leave, when the customer that this sales lady was grumbling to came up to me and attempted to console me saying “just so you know, I think that was very rude of her to say”.

I get it though, I’ve seen kids playing running amok in the toy section a few times. But I just don’t think it was fair of her to assume that I was doing the same thing. Considering my kid was strapped in her stroller, and I had a shopping basket with items to purchase.

I don’t think I will let this particular event prevent me from going back. I’ll just maybe take a peek first and see if this grumpy lady isn’t working before I do. 😂 I won’t write her name here as to not discourage people from going, as there are tons of fabulous finds in this little thrift shop. But hoping that management can possibly talk to staff about not being such a stick in the mud would be nice. (To the management, I’m sure u know who I’m referring to)

This is a very clean, very tidy organized store. You can almost always find something there.

Clean and relatively organized but I won’t be returning as the selection is very limited. The workers avoided eye contact with me when I entered the store which was very rude and awkward because I had to walk right past them. As per other reviewers, it might require many regular visits to find something you like but I’d rather make the trip to downtown Langley.

During my visit to the Shop, I was impressed with the quality of their products. However, it was disappointing to learn that they do not accept returns on closeout items, and this information is not clearly communicated. Even upon returning the next day, I was unable to arrange an exchange. Additionally, I encountered a situation where the seller seemed to disregard my request. Despite my explanation of the new policy (I visit often and it used to be a 7-day return window), she refused to make an exception. Instead, she promptly moved on to the next customer, leaving me bewildered. This experience left me feeling frustrated and compelled to caution others to think twice before purchasing clothes at this shop, as kindness from the seller may not be guaranteed
