I considered waiting until the project was done before I left a review, in hopes this company would do a better job of resolving the issues. Well my less than 600 square foot tile project started August 8th (today is September 23rd) and here we are, waiting on the installers who are once again not here when they were scheduled to be. Home Depot is wasting money hiring US Installations Group as the middle man because all they do is call you non-stop to reschedule, provide excuses, and provide terrible customer service. Good luck if you ever have to speak with Rafael over the phone- it’s clear how much he hates his job. They are impossible to get ahold of because they have their phones set to go to voicemail and it takes them forever to respond to said voicemails. They have moved my repair around a countless number of times and are inconsiderate of the customers time. I am granted the same 24 hours in a day that every else is, no more than that. This company expects you to just be available whenever and if you’re not, good luck getting on the schedule for the next upcoming weeks. I also caught the scheduler in a lie after the fact about why one of my repair dates was changed. Mind you, I had already moved around things at work to be home for a specific day. Again, she was absolutely inconsiderate of my time and work schedule. I was advised by the Home Depot store manager that the job was done incorrectly and the grout was not mixed appropriately the first two times, hence the repair. This company has made no effort to complete this job in an efficient manner and I have been without one whole side of my house for almost two months now, in addition to moving around or giving up hours of my work schedule to be home. They have no problem taking on new projects but fail to complete the existing ones. I may update this review once everything is said and done but since the installers are late due to a “personal emergency” YET AGAIN and I’m stuck at home waiting for them, it’s likely I’ll keep this up. I’ll be providing very detailed feedback to Home Depot as well, as their staff has actually been on the ball and wonderful to deal with. I totally understand emergencies come up and I was finally able to get in touch directly with the worker by phone, but the communication and sense of urgency with US Installations is just absent. Now that I’m reading reviews of US Installations though, it looks like I’m not alone.

Sharing our experience using Home Depot and "USIG".

We ordered flooring from Home Depot and they use USIG as their installation company. Robert was sent to do our floor here in Florida.

We requested the floor being leveled prior to the install. We had one corner of the room that was lower (settling happens). Robert ordered the leveling concrete to arrive with our Vinyl Plank.

The day of the leveling came and was done quickly by Robert. Too quickly. He did not clean the concrete. He did not scuff the concrete. He didn't even fill the crack in the floor. He didn't PRIME the concrete. HE DIDN'T EVEN SCRAPE OFF THE LEFTOVER BITS OF CARPET PADDING! Just mixed and poured mixed and poured and was done in less than an hour.

And that low corner? HE DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH IT! Now it's actually worse that when he started because he poured all the way ...near it...and left it. Then showed up the next day and covered everything in plastic before we could see it.

So I asked him...why didn't the corner get poured and he said it didn't need to be. But then he walked off the job after telling US we need to complain complain complain at Home Depot for the bad flooring.

The white sections are a filmy nightmare getting all over everything. I've been told this is due to too much water.

Lucky for us Home Depot delivered us 34 boxes of water damaged flooring (special order that arrived in 2 days after hurricane Ian but "wasn't just sitting in the store".

Anyway. I'd think long and hard before allowing these "contractors" in to do any work...or, like us, you'll probably have to do it again the right way.

BBB complaint lodged....and our attorney has been called.

They left multiple double edged razor blades lying around our home! Some in windows and some in our driveway / lawn. We have 2 very small boys (an infant and a toddler)!
They also canceled 4 times before they showed up. They also scraped up the walls & doors in literally every room they worked in, plus the entryway and hallways.
Absolute nightmare.

Floors look great, BUT don't ever expect warranty work. Been waiting for over 2 months and have gotten every excuse except my dog ate the transition strip from the general manager in Venice. He always has a different excuse of why my 15 minute job is not being taken care of. He even personally guaranteed HE would come and do my small warranty job. Good thing we did not hold our breath....if I could give him and his coworkers a zero I would have. The installers themselves have always been great. Not hard to tell why they have a rating so low!!! Oh, don't call corporate because they don't call back either.

The couple that installed our tile did a wonderful job. They checked with us about everything to make sure it was what we wanted or expected. The reason I gave 4 stars is it took several tries to get the installation date set.

Home depot scheduled USIG to install my vinyl plank flooring in my 700 sq ft condo and they would move my furniture. They said they had to remove the bamboo flooring first. So I paid extra for that. USIG showed up and said they needed a machine to remove the bamboo flooring and they left. So it was rescheduled. 2nd time they showed up they said I had too much furniture. I had your standard pieces of furniture for livingroom and bedroom. I even took my bed down myself. They left and I called home depot and they were very understanding and confused as to the excuses USIG had for not installing my floor. USIGs employees just didn't want to do it. I received a refund for installation and found my own installers and saved $1000. Glad I didn't use home depots installers. I got a father/son to install it and they never complained and did a fantastic job. Do not use home depots installer USIG for flooring.

Left my daughter’s room like this and refused to come back. This is the worst experience with a carpet company i have every experienced. The reason they said that wouldn’t do the job is because our sheets were on the bed upstairs and three tv’s were still plug up. Home Depot wasn’t any help either and I will not be doing business with either of them ever again

When you purchase carpet through Home Depot, the order is completed and paid for before you have any information about the installation company. Once it got to that point and I read the reviews for USIG, I freely admit I was very concerned and considered cancelling the whole thing.
HOWEVER, we decided to proceed and are very happy with the results. Communication from the main office was frequent-email, text and phone call when scheduling, when our carpet was delivered to them, to confirm on the day prior & the morning of our install and follow up when the installers were at our home.
2 installers, Brayan & Gabriel, were sent to do 4 bedrooms. They worked efficiently and did an excellent job with the install. They thoroughly cleaned the work areas prior to leaving. We were the second scheduled install for the day and they were here from about 2-7pm.
Note: we voluntarily moved all of our furniture ourselves.
