As a new comer to Prince George I phoned this waste water treatment plant because I had some questions regarding run-off or disposal of water into the Fraser River as a swimming hole was suggested to me downriver. The gentleman who answered was extremely informative and able to answer all my questions with great understanding. Besides just answering my questions he was able to suggest some maybe nicer spots to swim or float in the Nechako instead, avoiding potential run off from the pulpmills too.

Came here to say the same as the reviewer above. Why on earth do they decide to move biosolids in the middle of the hottest time in summer? You need the windows open at night to cool down but it's impossible due to the smell. I don't even want to go out and tend to my garden the smell is so bad. It's almost suffocating, I've never lived in a city where the waste treatment plant is this horrendous. Have some consideration for those who live down Lansdowne, if the smell is so bad it drifts all the way up college heights imagine how bad it is for us down here. Also I'm sure the poor animals at the spca don't enjoy it much either.

Once a year they move biosolids. I don't understand why it has to be done during the hottest months of the year? The smell is toxic. I wish the city would consider investing money into a new treatment plant or at least a much needed upgrade and perhaps those biosolids could be moved in October or March so during summer I could open my windows at night and breathe.
