I really can't say enough great things about the Eco Station on 99St. I've been using their amazing services for soooooooooo many years now. It continues to grow and expand in terms of what they accept...which is fantastic! The staff are amazingly helpful all the time. And the site itself is so clean. I always look forward to going to the Eco Station.

Saturday visit was surprisingly a breeze at 11:30 am.
Huge Sea Cans are placed for Metal, Garbage, Electronic items, etc.
Remember they are closed on Sunday and Monday if you are planning a visit.

I arrived at the 51 Ave Eco Station March 1st, my first ever visit, to drop off a defunct TV, stereo, and toaster oven for my elderly neighbour who is moving to assisted living.
I asked the employee if someone could help me unload the TV as it was heavy and I’m recovering from surgery. She said she couldn’t because she had also had surgery. She asked how it had gotten into my vehicle and I said my husband had. She said to come back when he could unload it; he was at work. I struggled unloading the TV. While I was dropping off the other items, I man came around and literally threw items further back into bins. Surely he might have assisted me? Will avoid this location in future. Such poor customer service and disrespect.

Jenelia is the worst staff we have ever experienced in Edmonton eco stations. Her attitude towards Immigrants is unacceptable. Her facial expressions and tone of conversation made our day more worse. Absolutely very very poor customer service. She don’t deserve to work in the field.

Today’s Strathcona ECO station experience was dismal. Have to wonder who sits in a back corner making up the continual rules to challenge the public. And, of course, make sure your extra two bags of free garbage are in clear plastic bags because it is an ECO station rule.
Do not bundle with twine or such, do not bring in cardboard boxes, only clear plastic bags. It’s interesting how The City of Edmonton can restrict one-use-plastic in one area but demand it in another. The contradictions are mind boggling - an ECO station!
I will be taking a good long break from this place.

The setup in this location is sooo awkward! The barricade where you pay is quite far in, and hidden from the road. I try to go at off times but the past several times when I've gone (it's looked like there's nobody there) as soon as I was too far in to turn around and get back out, there it is: several cars lined up in front of me, and they are moving soooo sloooowly! You can't see the lineup from 99 street, and then you're stuck in that lineup. Last time it took me a good ½ hour to get through. Never going back again!
