I have been with Spot Power for only 4 months and have found they have excellant customer service and are very pro-active.
A recent issue with non-credit due to the energy supplier not crediting microgen from Sep 1 to Sep 19 was dealt with quickly and efficiently by Customer Service.
I highly recommend SPOT POWER.

Been with spotpower for years and appreciated the low fees compared to many other companies.
Unfortunately, they do not show on their invoices, which rate is being charged for distribution charges. We have been charged a business rate for 5 months. I complained about the high bills, and only after looking into solar were we told by the solar sales guy that we should not be paying a business rate but a residential one! Spotpower will not fix their mistake and has collected so much money the past few months to erase the savings we got in previous years We'll be moving away from spotpower, and I would caution everyone not to touch these guys!!!!!
Again, spotpower should post which rate the customer is being charged, not hide it! Thank God someone else looked out for us cause spotpower just raked us over the coals! You did not provide customer service when you charged us $350 per month for residential power! An upgrade to your billing system is suggested

joke of a customer service team. had to send 3 emails in 2 weeks trying to get a response from them. wasn't even about anything important, just had a question about billing options. absolute silence for almost 3 weeks and ended up cancelling with them. plenty of smaller companies offer the same rate and don't ignore their customers

I thought I'd finally found a great utility company. I even considered marketing the services because I believed in them so much. Then the day came when I some tight financial issues had a payment come back NSF. 100% my mistake but I learned of the problem by email. Not a phone call. An email stating that due to the NSF, I was removed from the budget plan. For 7 years I was a good customer. I read all the monthly emails stating that Spot Power appreciated and was looking out for me but one blunder, and punishment ensued. I returned the email and demanded some one call me to explain this. I did get a call but was met with the, "This is in our policies." I had to be a good boy for 6 months then they would consider putting my back on the budget plan. I was mad so I ended the call.

After cooling down I called back as I was still thinking that was a little harsh and wanted to talk to someone. I ask for my issue to be escalated but the person on duty was on the call and I was told they would call me back. It's been at least 3 weeks now and I have still not received that call.

So does Spot Power care about their customers? Not one bit as I can tell. It's all talk because as soon as you hit a snag, you're history with them means absolutely nothing. Not even enough for a call back.

Great company for our solar power choice. The solar club works great for electricity options and the hi/low rates. Great detail in the billing to show your usage and contributions. They also send Great monthly information in their news letter.

So happy to be able to support a local energy company and have the choice to power my home with 100% renewable energy at an affordable rate! The customer service representatives are great too and I really like the online sign up process. Hope that some day this company will be more popular than the current big names. Their pricing has been very reasonable for the past 3+ years that I've been with them.
